In the Summer term, the children working from home and in school were challenged to create a rock for the Oakhaven Hospice "Rock River" project, and we have been busy collecting Rocks for them in our reception. Today the children were able to see their rocks move onto the Hospice.
To ensure the risk to the hospice was reduced we sent the rocks from our school to the day centre with a little photo magic, they will now be stored safely and will be located in the garden within the Hospice later in the year, where they will be joined with some of the rocks from the local "Covid Snakes" that have been created in the community.
It is great to be taking part in community projects once again, and hearing how much support they have had via various local fundraising events over the summer. You can find out more about the "Oakhaven River of Rocks
" here, and they have said that they will let us know once it has been created.
