Year 3 and 4 Pottery

Minibeast Mansions.

On Wednesday 3rd July, Lower School had an exciting morning making habitats for minibeasts out of clay.  Lyn and John joined us from Bursledon Brick Museum and talked to us about all the amazing things that go on in the museum and how some bricks are made of clay.  We then thought of some great ideas that a minibeast may like to have in their home.  Some lucky minibeasts had balconies, statues and individual penthouses!  Although we could not take our habitats home, we did take photographs of them.  Liam Phillips, Jude Bishop and Bobby Fryer, will all have their habitats made and frost proofed by the people at Bursledon, so it will be able to go into the pond area and become real homes for our minibeasts at school.
